Possibly! I’m available through Fay Nutrition, a platform that helps clients check insurance coverage and book appointments with registered dietitians. You can visit my Fay page to see whether your plan may cover nutrition counseling and, if eligible, book an initial appointment here: https://signup.faynutrition.com/book/kelsey-kalenderian/26fab3.


If your insurance is not accepted through Fay, you can still work with me privately. After payment, I can provide a superbill receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.


Because coverage varies by plan, I recommend contacting your insurance provider before your session to confirm whether medical nutrition therapy is covered.


Payment is due prior to appointments. Once we confirm an appointment time, payment will be collected over the phone. Clients will be charged on the day of their visit. If you miss your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, your credit card will still be charged. 


My private practice is fully virtual. I use a HIPPA protected technology for all appointments. A virtual practice has many benefits, including:

  • Higher appointment attendance rate: less excuses for missed appointments. 
  • More frequent visits and check-ins: this results in improvements in adherence to your goals, more support, better accountability, and better results!
  • Downloadable resources: say goodbye to paper. I’ll send you appointment summaries at the end of each visit with handouts, links to articles, a summary of your goals, recipes, etc. 
  • Zoom sessions improve educational engagement via share-screen feature: access to handouts and visuals as we are discussing them during appointments, a benefit for visual learners. Clients have the opportunity to share contents of their fridge or pantry allowing for a deeper connection and understanding between client and provider.
